Snook season is finally here but it still feels like January. I guess I can't complain to much it's still better than up north.

The fishing this past week was really good! I had an awesome week on reds averaging more than 25 fish a day and a lot of those were 30 inchers. The snook and trout bite was pretty good also but I did not catch any real big fish. the biggest snook was about 29" and the biggest trout was about 21". I didn't fish for anything else the flats fishing was to good.

I had a friend tell me he caught some nice pompano in Pine Island sound around Captiva Pass. I really haven't heard of much else going but the flats fishing has been good.
