BOCA GRANDE TARPON FISHING

 Explosive strikes, blistering runs and aerial displays that make even the most avid of anglers watch in awe, have made Boca GrandeTarpon fishing one of the greatest sports in the world. Beginner or expert, anyone can catch a Boca Grande Tarpon. Whether you choose light tackle or fly, Boca grande tarpon fishing is an experience of a lifetime. Starting in April and running through June, Tarpon flood into Southwest Florida for their annual spawn and when they get here they are hungry. Hooking a Silver King (Tarpon) is a given, what you do with it is up to you. Due to high demand for Boca Grande tarpon fishing, I only run 6 hour trips during this time of year. A 7am to 1pm trip and a 1:30pm to 7:30pm trip.

 As the month of June comes to an end and the Tarpon have finished their annual spawning ritual, everyone thinks that Boca GrandeTarpon fishing season is over. Nothing could be further from the truth. Just because the fish are not stuffed into Boca Grande Pass does not mean that they all left. The truth is that thousands of fish stay and feed until the first couple of cold fronts arrive in October. Some of the best days I've ever had Boca grande tarpon fishing have been in the latter part of the summer when the crowds are significantly smaller.

Whether you're fishing for tailing reds on the open grass flats or giant snook around mangrove lined islands and creeks, backcountry fishing is just plain FUN!! Whether your on a Fort Myers fishing charter or a Boca Grande fishing charter thirty to forty fish are the average but 100+ fish days are not uncommon. Topping the list are Snook, Redfish, Trout, Cobia, Snapper and Sharks. No matter what your fishing experience is, anyone can get in on the action on a Boca Grande fishing charter. This is a great family trip, where kids are welcome and restrooms are never too far away. Due to high demand I only run 6 hour trips in April, May and June. These trips are $600.

 As an experienced Boca grande fishing guide and fly tier, I love to teach people the art of fly fishing. Having fly fished for years, stripping in a perfect cast and watching a fish eat your offering of fur and feathers still gets my blood going. I supply a wide range of custom tied flies (like my Latham's Crab and Latham's Shrimp featured in Orvis) and top quality rods and reels. Feel free to bring your own equipment because I love to see new patterns and equipment. Whether you're after 100+ pound Tarpon, a tailing Red, or the Snook of a lifetime, I always look forward to catching fish on fly. Due to high demand for Boca Grande tarpon fishing I only run 6 hour trips in April, May and June. These trips are $600.

During certain times of the year, the fishing off the beautiful beaches of Southwest Florida (anywhere from 1 -20 miles) abounds with fish like Grouper, Goliath Grouper (Jewfish), Kingfish, Permit, Tripletail, Cobia, Grey Snapper, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel and Sharks. Whether you want to catch some fish to eat or just have a good time, this can be an awesome trip. |
